1. Golden Temple

The first tourist place that comes to the mind of tourists visiting Punjab is Golden Temple. Golden temple also known as Shri Harmander Sahib, is situated in Heart of Amritsar city. It was built in 16^th century by Guru Arjan Dev, The fifth Sikh Guru. It’s a very religious and holy place of Sikh Community. Golden temple is a Gurudwara located in the centre of water channel. The water channel is known as Amrit Sarovar. The water surrounding the Gurudwara is very pure, sacred, clean and vibrant and one can easily see fishes, eels moving in it. The whole temple is adorned in gold leafing which gives it iconic appearance. The sacred text of Sikh community, the Guru Granth Sahib is enshrined inside the temple and the complex serves as a place for prayer, reflection and community service. Jallia wala Bagh is all about a beautiful park with a protected well in its centre and old walls with bullet marks preserved from pre independence era. It lies at a distance of 32 Kms from Amritsar. This place is famous for Wagah Border Ceremony where soldiers from both countries India and Pakistan engaged in a synchronized display of Martial prowess, raid foot stomps marked by high kicks and dramatic lowering of National Flags. The ceremony starts every day at 4:30 Pm. The entry to watch this ceremony is absolutely free for every visitor. Visitors are not allowed to carry Bags and luggage with them, only Mobile phones and wallets are allowed inside the ceremony premises.

4. Rose Garden

It is situated in Sector-16 of Chandigarh, the city of Gardens. Rose Garden is a beautiful park filled with different kind of roses and biggest tourist attraction hub of Chandigarh city. The water fountains, walking track, small wooden bridges, jogging track add to its charm. The garden was set up in 1967 over an area of 30 acres. It is believed to be Asia’s biggest Botanical Garden and named after former President of India Mr. Zakir Hossain. Rock Garden is situated in Sector 1 of Chandigarh and is a must visit place for every tourist. Rock garden spreads over an area of 12 acres is famous for its unique and captivating sculptures made purely from recycling urban waste materials. There is an entry fee of Rs 30 for Adults and Rs 10 for children (3-10 yrs) and the timings for the visit are 9:00 Am to 6:00 Pm. One can find man made small waterfalls, may sculptures, water fountain, narrow passages between small rocks, a well, a Doll museum, Art and Museum Gallery and a small water channel, free flowing water stream and small wooden bridges type crossings over water streams, fish aquarium and laughing mirrors inside the premises of Rock Garden. 6. Sukhna Lake

Sukhna Lake is a beautiful man-made serene water body situated at the foothills of Shivalik range in Sector 1 of Chandigarh. The lake was built in 1958 and designed by famous Architect Le Corbusir. The lake spread over an area of 3 sq. Kms and a perfect destination for solitude seekers. Sukhna Lake is a regal and majestic tourist hub that is worth visiting, a perfect destination for spending time with your loved ones. 7. Maharaja Ranjeet Singh War Museum

Maharaja Ranjeet Singh War Museum is a very knowledgeable and Historical place, Located on GT road NH-1 in Ludhiana, and approximately at a distance of 5Kms from Ludhiana Railway Station. It was established in the year 1999 and spread over an area of 4 Acres. If you have an interest to explore Historical wars and armed forces, then it is an awesome and must visit place to be in. One can see the giant statue of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, the Lion of Punjab, sitting on his throne at the main entrance. Inside the museum one will find the list of Punjab soldiers who got gallantry awards like Vir Cahkra, Mahavir Chakra and Param vir Chakra and pictures of Generals. Air Chief Marshals and Admirals of Punjab origin. The war museum is home to some old weapon riffles, swords, daggers of 16-18^th century and some old tanks, guns, armored troop carriers etc of Indian Army of Post Independence era. The war museum contains almost 12 war galleries under different names. A light and sound show facility is available inside the war museum. A ticket worth Rs 40 is mandatory for entering the war museum. The ticket is valid for only 2 hours. A zoo and tiger safari is also available at a few distances.

8. Mukteshwar Temple

Mukteshwar temple is located on the banks of river Ravi in Pathankot District of Punjab region. This holy and historic temple is dedicated to Hindu deity Lord Shiva and lies inside a cave which is a special feature of this temple. It is believed that this temple was built by Pandavas and they took shelter in these caves for 6 months during their exile. It is approximately at a distance of 26 Kms from Pathankot and takes about 45 minutes to reach here. A free of cost lunger facility is also available for pilgrims throughout the year. The temple situated down the hill and the only route available is through stairs. There are approximately 300 stairs to reach the temple.

9. Nangal Wetlands

Nangal Wetlands popularly known for migratory birds,is a beautiful place and nothing sort of a paradise for Nature enthusiasts and Bird watchers. It came into existence in the year 1961. It is located on the border of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. It was declared National Wetland in the year 2008 and wildlife Sanctuary in the year 2009.
